NPCs (Storytellers)

Storyteller
  • Reader; Assigning a job title to the Storyteller would be difficult - "Reader" suits him or her as the individual seems obsessed with amassing knowledge and history.
  • Mysterious, evasive, knowledgeable, and bedeviled.
  • Legends; Always interested in truths, rumors, and everything between those blurred lines, the Storyteller first and foremost wants to share and arm the world with education and knowledge. Those who work for him are aware that he is working on various handbooks - from Monster Manuals to Dungeon Guides.
  • Magical; Based on the magic he uses to issue commands and observe remotely, the theorists suggest that the Storyteller is either an accomplished spellcaster or possesses powerful magical items that allow him to mirror and mimic the abilities of a mage.
  • Unseen Force; Not many have heard of the Storyteller and fewer have ever interacted with him or her directly. The race, gender, and other personal details about the Storyteller even elude the greatest Freedivers. The paranoid folk on the Black.Net have created numerous theories on the Storyteller - many suggesting he is an ancient and ageless creature from the Old Days. Dragon is a popular theory, but the paranoid say that would be "too easy".
  • The Dungeon Divers; Utilizing the resources and the wealth of information acquired through untold years of research, the Storyteller has decided to fund the television program "Dungeon Divers" to find what has become of the Old Ways - the days of Dungeons and Dragons.
  • Stress reliefs; roleplaying games, dungeon designing, and monster researching.
  • CONNECTION; Party

Rashida
  • Head Assistant; Rashida has been charged with handling the technical and logistical aspects of the show. For all intents and purposes, the Storyteller has put her in charge of the Dungeon Divers.
  • Amicable, determined, no nonsense, and reliable.
  • Coin Collector; with a vast collection of rare coins, Rashida will talk for hours if allowed about her hobby.
  • Fallen; once a proud eldritch knight in service to The Warrior, Rashida lost her connection to the Arcane somehow.
  • Augmented; an elf enhanced through cybernetic prosthetics, how much of her is still elven?
  • Distant; a vacant look on her face when alone - listening to the ghosts in her machines.
  • Stress reliefs; counting to 100, sorting through her collection, and tinkering.
  • CONNECTION; Party

Maddox
  • Runner; helps with labor, security, and everything else not covered by Rashida.
  • Reserved, quiet, loyal, and dangerous.
  • Past; leave sleeping dogs lay, hints towards a military background - especially with those mana infused eyes suggesting genasi heritage.
  • Baseball fan; played all his life and has a helluva swing.
  • Phone calls; always seems to get them at weird times and disappears for a bit afterwards.
  • Sports cars; loves to go fast and appreciates beauty.
  • Stress reliefs; smoking, drinking, and hints of something harder.
  • CONNECTION; Party

Ashley
  • Host; the introduction, the commentary, and everything else, Ashley is the official face of Dungeon Divers.
  • Energetic, confident, flighty, and selfish.
  • Cosplayer; famous for her deep devotion to the art of cosplaying, Ashley is popular in modern media for being able to perfectly adapt the identify of fictional and nonfictional characters.
  • Tailor; picked up to help with her career, Ashley is well versed with a needle and thread - creating her own costumes.
  • Foodie; every meal deserves a picture, Ashley loves to eat and considers herself a connoisseur. She even has a food blog.
  • Shadow; there is virtually no information regarding Ashley prior to her boom in popularity within recent years. Rumors circulate that she used The Man With No Name to erase her past.
  • Stress reliefs; dating applications, sketching outfits, and binge eating.
  • CONNECTION; Party

Holden
  • Executive Producer; the voice of the Storyteller, Holden often shows up to congratulate the group and share important information. On paper, he is is the mind behind the Dungeon Divers while the Storyteller would be a mysterious benefactor not known to the public.
  • Polite, strange, helpful and submissive.
  • "Off"; His mere presence is often enough to offend - not for any obvious reason, but between his demeanor, mannerisms, and appearance... something isn't right. The other assistants dislike whenever he is around.
  • Legend Lore; Holden appears to be obsessed with the past - perhaps that is why he enlisted into the service of the Storyteller. He learns the lore of the dungeons, the monsters, the treasure, and more.
  • Model and Miniature Toys; Holden likes to build models in his spare time. He doesn't seem to have any particular attachment - often donating them afterwards.
  • Unremarkable Background; Not famous and not obscure, Holden seems to be an average person. He has a birth certificate, school/medical records, and even social media accounts.
  • Stress reliefs; reading, miniature building, and prescription medications.
  • CONNECTION; Party
