This will be a blog to record session notes and recaps about a 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in the homebrewed world of Terra Nullius. The campaign is called Dungeon Divers: A Documentary, or TN: DDD for short.
Terra Nullius is a setting in which a typical D&D fantasy world has made it to modern ages / near-future. The world itself is a blend of cyberpunk and sci-fantasy that primarily focuses on the city of Babylon: the human capital run by the Genesis Campaign. Magic is still prevalent, but monsters and adventures are the stuff of a bygone time.
You can find the original blog for the campaign here.
It ended in March 2015 and I still owe my players a campaign recap. I'm also planning on making a continuation campaign (likely in Play by Post) called Terra Nullius: Redux when I have the time. However, Dungeon Divers is going to focus on something different. As real life limits the amount of prep time I can put into a game, as well as the time that I can play, I have decided to run a pre-made set of dungeons that I can buy off of Roll20 and have the majority of the work done for me.
Thus, here is the official campaign pitch...
Hired by a mysterious benefactor called Storyteller, you are part of the latest reality television craze: Dungeon Divers. Billed in the Prime Time slot and pitched to the producers as something between an educational documentary and a survival of the fittest competition, Dungeon Divers is sure to be the most popular show airing this Fall. Possessing only the bare necessities and an action camera attached to your clothes, you are one member of an adventuring party setting out to explore old ruins and legends to see what remains of the stories of old.
You could be a failing actor attempting to reclaim his glory in the limelight, you could be a budding actress looking for her big break, or you could just be the grizzled mercenary they hired to help keep these idiots alive. Danger! Treasure! Story! All of it waits our viewers and you're the one that's going to be bringing it to them.
Dungeon Divers: No Guts, No Glory!
