NPCs (Old Souls Edition)

Vesper Klein
  • The Good Doctor; patching up runners and degenerates alike, Klein is a "no questions asked" kind of doctor for those who can afford her services.
  • Meticulous, intellectual, germaphobic, and great perseverance.
  • Genesis Researcher; Once in charge of Project Rebirth, Klein utilized ancient DNA and modern science to create clones of extinct monsters.
  • Black Sheep; One of the founding families of Babylon, the Klein's are estranged with Vesper due to her falling out with Genesis.
  • "The Claw"; Missing her left hand, Klein has refused to acquire cybernetics and instead utilizes an older style prosthetic.
  • Warden; Klein possesses a high-tech prison (TRAJAN) which she keeps "extraordinary" criminals captive and out of the hands of corporations who might use them. Possibly experiments on them.
  • Stress reliefs; cleaning and sanitizing, biomedical experiments, and reading scientific/medical journals.
  • CONNECTION; Party

Watch Dog
  • Hacker Vigilante; W.D. takes justice into his own hands and pursues the lofty goal of eliminating the Corporacy of Babylon.
  • Astute, caring, driven, and private.
  • Urban Legend; Many people don't believe W.D. exists, or if he does, that he is a group compromised of many Freedivers.
  • Genesis Security; Growing up within the corporation, W.D. is believed to have been one of the lead designers of Babylon's intensive security program - a city wide surveillance initiative.
  • Manaborn; W.D.'s eyes glow with the tell-tale sign of mana radiation; what "element" he is infused with is unknown to most people.
  • The Middleman; working in association with his colleague, W.D. ultimately provides the information Runners seek after they complete the Middleman's jobs.
  • Stress reliefs; watching internet videos, playing mobile games, and reminiscing.
  • CONNECTION; N/A

Gwen Morrison
  • Chief Officer of ROGUE; having risen through the ranks, Gwen currently commands the Genesis branch known as ROGUE; focused on espionage, assassinations, and assets acquisition.
  • Cold, superior, pragmatic, and secretive.
  • Dreams of Being Queen; Gwen's ultimate agenda is to rule Babylon and she seeks to rise to the top of Genesis to achieve that dream.
  • Modern Nobility; the heiress to the Morrison dynasty, Gwen is a member of one of the families that originally founded Babylon. Rumors circulate that she has a sister who is a tiefling. If true, it would be a black spot upon her family's reputation.
  • Genius Combatant; Gwen is one of the few individuals who was accepted into KNIGHT, MAGE, and ROGUE. She possesses martial might, impressive magic, and excels in subterfuge.
  • The Country; Gwen is in charge of Genesis' black site - where she is rumored to have been conducting experiments with a metahuman gene called APEX to give prisoners superpowers... all for her own personal gain of course.
  • Stress reliefs; visiting day spas, an afternoon shopping, and a glass of red wine.
  • CONNECTION; N/A

Leonhardt Nacht
  • Terra Nullius' Most Wanted; a former high ranking ROGUE agent for Genesis, Leonhardt Nacht betrayed the organization after it had threatened his family. Having put his revenge to rest, Nacht seeks redemption for the ghosts of his pasts.
  • Relentless, stubborn, calculating, and brutal.
  • The Sheriff's Son; Born and raised on a frontier town, Nacht was the sole survivor of a cartel massacre targeting his father (a sheriff) who refused to turn a blind eye. Found by investigating Genesis agents, Nacht was taken in as an orphan and put through a rigorous training program aimed at creating the best agents.
  • Undercover Gunslinger; While working for Genesis, Nacht infiltrated the dwarven cartels (the very same that orphaned him) and became one of their best soldiers. While involved in the cartels, Nacht participated in gun, drug, and even human trafficking as he fed intelligence to Genesis. There, he found that his childhood crush (Hannah) had been taken in as a sex slave by the Cartel. He fell in love with her all over again and eventually rescued her - fathering several children afterwards with her.
  • Inevitable Betrayal; Despite being given resources to rescue his family, Nacht pulled further away from Genesis and sought retirement. The work with the cartels had stained his soul and left him darkened inside, but Genesis continued to push the issue until Nacht finally sought to flee and go underground. Nacht failed and his family was captured and used against him to force him to perform extremely dangerous black ops missions on behalf of Gwen Morrison (the woman behind the manipulation).
  • Redemption; The events of the last campaign left Nacht in a strange place - he had rescued his family finally and buried the hatchet with Gwen Morrison, but he still felt empty. At the advice of his daughters, Nacht sought to put some good back in the world in an attempt to tip the scales of his own morality. He's believed to be working with the young druid Dolores Meegan to restore balance to Terra Nullius.
  • Stress reliefs; target practice, cigarettes, and liquor.
  • CONNECTION; N/A

Hannah Jaegar
  • Retired Musician; once the most popular singer within all of Babylon, Hannah has recently retired from the public eye and become a recluse.
  • Reserved, caring, indecisive, and resilient.
  • Prostitution Origins; With her frontier village slain by Cartels, Hannah was abducted and sold into sex trafficking. Unlike many of the women there, Hannah managed to retain a sense of self and not give into despair. Her biggest comfort came when she sang.
  • Rescued by the Past;  Much to her surprise, her childhood crush, Leonhardt Nacht, had infiltrated the very same dwarven cartel that held her capture. They fell in love and had several children together who were raised within the trafficking of the cartels until Nacht leveraged his corporation contacts to free his children and wife - starting a strange series of events for Kara and Aria (their children).
  • Brain Washed; though her relationship was full of turmoil and strife due to Nacht's double life, Hannah had enjoyed her quiet and comfortable life until it was ruined by Genesis and Gwen Morrison. In order to manipulate and control Nacht, Hannah had her memories altered by the freediver Athena - creating a new persona that Genesis pushed to be a major and popular pop idol.
  • Freedom; Eventually by the end of the last campaign, Hannah had her true memories returned to her which lead to great inner conflict. Hannah opted to retire from the public eye and attempt to raise her daughter (Aria) in relatively quiet comfort while attempting to sort through the confusing mess of her life. She is on estranged terms with her husband (Leonhardt Nacht) - unsure of whether to accept him back into her life.
  • Stress reliefs; singing, opera and plays, and a fancy dinner.
  • CONNECTION; N/A

Nolan King
  • Undefeated Fighting Champion; Considered to be the greatest fighter of modern times, Nolan King utilized his talents to dominate the tournaments and fight scene at Bullete's Brawl. He became a modern legend for his brutal and entertaining matches.
  • Driven, relentless, brutal, and selfish.
  • Genesis Upbringing; Born under the MANABORN program of Genesis, Nolan grew up as a child within the rigid structures of the corporation. He was defiant and outspoken, and through a rigid training program along with his own drive, he graduated at the top of his class.
  • In It For Himself; When it came time to choose his organization, he had his pick of KNIGHT, ROGUE, and MAGE. He refused all three and left Genesis when he was eighteen; free from their control as he was now an adult. Nolan had no interest in helping the company or the public; he only wanted greatness for himself.
  • Genius of Destruction; With a background in Genesis' fighting styles, along with taking the time to train under martial arts masters of all races, Nolan used his acute intellect and perception along with his inhuman speed, endurance, and strength to dominate the fighting scene; rising up to champion seemingly overnight. Fans loved his brutal style - decimating unprepared opponents while calculating dismantling skilled opponents.
  • Taken Too Soon; The circumstances of his death are suspect as the event occurred very suddenly and very few details have been shared regarding it. However, the media has placed the majority portion of blame onto a Dr. Selks - a gnomish doctor who was unable to save Nolan King at the hospital.
  • Stress reliefs; training, partying, and tabloid reading.
  • CONNECTION; Selks

 Lukas Baer
  • ROGUE Agent; Having had a middling career in the ROGUE organization for the first part of his professional life, Lukas had a recent rise by riding the coat tails of Gwen Morrison. He acts as her enforcer and primary field agent - doing her dirty work for her.
  • Manipulative, careful, tenacious, and pessimistic.
  • Orphan Recruitment; Like many ROGUE trainees, Lukas Baer was recruited when he was a child. He never spoke much of his past, but many people have speculated that he came from the country from a hold-out tribe of Barbarians and Druids; hence his surname. The rumors suggest that the tribe was killed off under mysterious circumstances.
  • Middle of the Road; Not a prodigy in anything, Lukas Baer seemed to only excel in hiding himself in the crowd or middle of the pack. Through the ROGUE training program, Lukas acquired the skills that would serve him which lead to his formal entrance into the Genesis Corporation (where he would later be discovered by Gwen Morrison).
  • Interactions with the Runners; Throughout the first campaign of Terra Nullius, Lukas Baer interacted the Runners (Player Characters) on numerous occasions. Acting somewhat as an antagonist, he was ultimately saved by the group after the dwarven cartel Mixtli Coatal had him hostage.
    • Other important interactions included transporting specimens from Quiet Mountain to Babylon (which lead to Del discovering Jergo the Blink Dog) as well as his search for dragonborn (hunting Trajan through the homeless population and shelters).
  • Returning to Duty; Having sustained numerous injuries to person and ego, Baer took a short hiatus and went on an extended vacation. However, he has been pulled back into duty by Gwen Morrison recently. Afraid to deny the woman who made him, Baer begins to resume his career as a ROGUE lapdog. Most recently, he seems to be focused on assets acquisition branch of ROGUE... having set his eyes on Setis.
  • Stress reliefs; smoking, movies, and beach vacations.
  • CONNECTION; Setis
